Learn about Running in Virginia

We Prepare Each Week.

Every week, Carole, Charlotte, and Joshua work on putting on the podcast by doing some research, reaching out to future guests, and figuring out what to line up each week.

Sometimes it can take many hours just to put a podcast together.

We record, edit and launch.

With a prograde mixing board, various audio inputs, and multiple track recordings, we record each show on the fly and edit everything in the post, from removing those “um’s” and coughs to making sure that things sound good, it can take a few hours just to edit.

The Podcast Grows our Non-profit

As thousands of listeners become aware of our 501c3, we educate them about our mission of helping Virginia’s disadvantaged youth and their need for things like running shoes and related equipment.

These are students in all parts of our Commonwealth and most come from financially struggling households, both rural and urban.

Your donations cover these expenses and we work on obtaining these items through locally owned running stores if possible.

Our Non Profit Helps the Community.

  • We focus mostly on youth in middle school and kids who come from households that struggle financially. Working with coaches, we then help identify those students that are in need of good equipment, like shoes, socks or spikes, and the like.

  • We work with coaches to gather the needed information and from there, we connect them with small, locally-owned running stores in the region to get them what they need.

Your donations cover the costs of these items and help provide the student with an equal opportunity within the sports teams.

Students are not publically identified to keep them from being harrassed or embarrassed.

  • We build relationships with local mom-and-pop running stores to help find the right gear for these youth and we help them obtain what they need.

  • As a runner, you know that shoes can be more expensive than everyday shoes.

By donating, you are helping to provide young people a chance to succeed in local sports and help them grow.

Through your support, we can help many kids all throughout Virginia enjoy sports without having to worry about being able to afford equipment.

  • Sure thing, simply email us and we will get the information from you and put that student on a list. We will need their middle school name and coach’s name so we can reach out to the coach and work ith them directly.

  • We try to work with a locally owned mom-and-pop running store if possible, although if there is not one that can help, we’ll try to work with a manufacturer on purchasing them at wholesale.

  • Typically, we work directly with the coach and they work directly with the students in need.

We can work directly with them, although we try to involve the coach if possible.
